Leadbitter Construction were the main contractors, but were taken over by the French company Bouygues whilst we were building this project. They are now called Leadbitter-Bouygues, part of the Bouygues UK Group.

The masonry package was approx. £1 Million Full Supply & Fix. This project was much more than just a very large secondary senior school, it also has a Respite Building for the children and adults with learning difficulties.

The whole site and buildings are built over several differing ground levels, and with various different face bricks.

The detached Respite Building was built mainly by Apprentices. This was an agreed initiative between the main contractor and the client, and REUSSIR LTD were happy to oblige. This threw up many unique problems of trying to teach the apprentices, how to lay bricks and blocks correctly whilst also trying to complete a building on time, and to a very good standard of workmanship. We are very proud to say it was all achieved with good management from both us and the Leadbitter site Managers.

We`d like to thank the overall project team of Leadbitter-Bouygues and in particular Simon Owen, Aeron Thomas, Chris Carson and Brian Morris for their professionalism at all times.
